Privacy Policy — 2048 Puzzle
Last updated 3 September 2026
2048 Puzzle is an Android app published by Nessaid Android. It is a sliding tile game. This policy explains what it does and does not collect.
What the app collects: nothing
The app has no account, no sign-in and no server of its own. It does not ask for your name, your email address or any other personal detail, and there is nowhere for it to send one. Nothing you do in the game is reported anywhere.
There is no analytics and no crash reporting.
What stays on your device
- The game in progress — the board, the score, the number of moves and the target you are playing to. Written when you leave a screen so you can continue later.
- Your best score — one number, kept separately from the game in progress.
- Your settings — the colour theme, dark or light, the language, and the target a new game is played to.
All of it is in the app's own private storage on the phone. Uninstalling the app removes it. Nothing in that list leaves the device.
If you are upgrading from version 1.3, the app reads your old high score out of the previous version's stored settings once, so it is not lost. That read happens entirely on the phone.
Sharing a win
When you win, the app can offer the picture and the score to another app you choose — a messaging app, for example. Two things worth knowing about it:
- Nothing is shared unless you tap Share and then pick where it goes. The app does not choose the destination and does not send anything by itself.
- The picture is not saved to your photos. It is written to the app's own temporary cache and handed to the app you picked; the system clears that cache as it sees fit. An older version of this app wrote a copy into your gallery, and this one deliberately does not.
Advertising
The app shows banner ads from Google AdMob. This is the only part of the app that uses the network, and the only part that involves anybody other than you and your phone.
Google's ad SDK may use your device's advertising ID and similar identifiers to select and measure ads. That is Google's processing, not ours: we receive no personal data from it and see only aggregate performance figures. What Google does with it is covered by Google's Privacy Policy and by how Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.
You can reset or delete your advertising ID, and opt out of ad personalisation, in Settings → Google → Ads on your phone. The app goes on working either way; the ads simply become less relevant.
Consent, for users in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, the app shows Google's consent form before requesting any ad, and your answer is stored on your device by Google's User Messaging Platform. Choosing not to consent to personalised ads does not restrict any part of the game.
Permissions, and why
The app itself requests no permissions at all. The ones you may see listed come from Google's ad SDK, which declares them in its own manifest:
- Internet and network state — used only to load ads. No other part of the app uses the network.
- Advertising ID — used only by Google AdMob, as described above.
- Wake lock and foreground service — declared by the ad SDK. The game does not run in the background, does not keep your screen awake, and starts no service of its own.
- Basic phone state — declared by the ad SDK. The app does not read it and has no code that touches it.
None of these prompts you: they are all install-time declarations rather than permissions you are asked to grant.
Children
The app is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Selling data
We do not sell your data. We have none to sell.
