Privacy Policy — Battery Alarm
Last updated 17 August 2026
Battery Alarm is an Android app published by Nessaid Android. It watches the battery level and sounds an alarm at levels you choose. This policy explains what it does and does not collect.
What the app collects: nothing
There is no account and no sign-in. The app does not collect, transmit or store any personal information on our side, because there is no server on our side. We cannot see your alarms, your settings or your battery.
What stays on your device
- Your alarms — the levels, notes and on/off state, kept in a database on the device.
- Your preferences — alert sounds, durations, language, colour and so on.
- Battery readings — level, temperature, voltage and charging state, read from Android to decide whether an alarm should sound. They are used as they arrive and are never sent anywhere.
All of it stays on the device and is deleted when you uninstall the app.
Advertising
The app shows banner ads through Google AdMob. To serve them, Google collects and processes data including your device's advertising ID, device and app information, and how you interact with ads. This is Google's collection, under Google's terms, not ours — we receive only aggregate reports of impressions and earnings, with nothing that identifies anyone.
You can reset or delete your advertising ID at any time in Android's Settings → Privacy → Ads.
Consent, for users in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland
If you are in one of those regions, the app asks for your consent before any ad is requested, using Google's certified consent platform. If you decline, you will see non-personalised ads or none at all — the alarms themselves work exactly the same either way. Your choice is stored on the device; to be asked again, clear the app's data in Android's app settings.
Permissions, and why
- Notifications — to show the ongoing battery notification and the alarm itself.
- Run a foreground service — to keep watching the battery while the app is not open. This is the only way to catch a threshold you have set.
- Start at boot — so monitoring resumes after a restart, if you have that setting on.
- Full-screen notification — so a sounding alarm can show its own screen, as an alarm clock does.
- Vibrate — for the vibration alert.
- Internet and network state — used only to load ads. No other part of the app uses the network.
- Advertising ID — used only by Google AdMob, as described above.
Children
The app is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Selling data
We do not sell your data. We have none to sell.
